To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a Cost Accountant located in Westmorland Business Park, England.
Reporting to the Finance Controller, the Cost Accountant role will be part of an excellent team, whose members are strong communicators, ambitious & innovative.
What a typical day looks like:
Managing project data set-up to ensure accurate reporting and system integrity
Responsible for ensuring all material, labour and expense costs are accurately reflected in project costing system
Tracking progress of project activities to enable appropriate project financial accounting for revenue recognition, cost recognition and billing
Preparing monthly financial information and analysis for projects to explain actual financial performance against budget
Report on product and customer performance to management
Investigate variances and report on variances to management

Good communication and organisational skills are essential
Ability to manage day to day work whilst also being part of a team.
Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
Experience of accounts systems and excel
Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives
Excellent work ethic with confidentiality at the core
Economic background is a plus.
A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
