About the Role:
We are seeking a HACCP and Auditing Specialist based in Rugby to support the delivery and management of the site's food safety program. This role will focus on food safety analysis across the entire site and will lead the site’s auditing calendar for both internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain the site HACCP system and related documentation.
2. Lead the internal food safety review calendar for all product pack and process changes.
3. Coordinate and execute internal and external audit programs.
4. Manage site activities to address and rectify non-conformances.
5. Control and oversee corrective action plans for all audit non-conformities.
6. Drive continuous improvement in site quality performance with a focus on food safety and HACCP.
7. Evaluate food safety risks and implement best practices for improvement.
8. Conduct HACCP training for operators and team members.
9. Develop and implement site hygiene and quality standards.
10. Support quality incident investigations, including product traceability, quarantines, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
11. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of quality equipment, liaising with third-party providers and managing maintenance contracts.
12. Ensure quality compliance through adherence to the quality management system, audits, change control, and SPC systems.
13. Contribute to the development of site quality plans.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Excellent communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
* Solid knowledge of food production processes and legislation.
* Proven experience in food safety management and auditing.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including relationship building, facilitation, and effective communication.
* Leadership qualities.
* Experience working in an FMCG environment, preferably within a Quality function.
* Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining food quality management and auditing systems.
