Are you an experienced and compassionate Live-In Spinal Carer looking for a rewarding permanent role in Swindon? This is a live-in position supporting a male client in his 50s who has a spinal cord injury. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, person-centred care within the client’s home, working on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational basis. This role is open to female applicants only, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1) as a genuine occupational requirement, given the intimate nature of the personal care provided.

Key Responsibilites:
As a Female Live-In Spinal Injury Carer with Coyle Homecare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to your client. You will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:
* Deliver full personal care and daily living support in a dignified and person-centred manner
* Provide safe manual handling and mobility assistance in line with the client’s care plan
* Recognise, respond to, and manage episodes of Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD)
* Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate medication records
* Support the client with bowel and bladder care programmes
* Drive the client to medical appointments, social activities, and community engagements
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date care documentation
Role Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
* Female carer – this is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010
* Proven experience supporting clients with spinal cord injuries
* Demonstrated competency in recognising and managing Autonomic Dysreflexia
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Medication administration competency
* Up-to-date manual handling training
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Valid right to work in the UK
* Professional, reliable, and calm under pressure
