About the Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a pivotal role in our Kier Rail team, working closely with the Oxford team and Network Rail on the exciting Oxford Station Phase 2 project. This project aims to enhance capacity by constructing an additional platform and associated track through the existing operational station. Your expertise will help us manage the commercial aspects of the project, ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, your day-to-day activities will include:
* Assisting commercial teams in securing maximum sustainable value from contracts.
* Managing subcontractors firmly and fairly.
* Compiling monthly applications for payment to clients and tracking certifications.
* Preparing monthly regional CV and forecast reports.
* Gathering, submitting, and agreeing on the financial effects of variations.
* Addressing project-specific commercial issues for reporting at client progress meetings.
* Overseeing change management processes.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Have experience in a similar role within rail, construction, or civils.
* Hold relevant qualifications, such as a Degree in Quantity Surveying.
* Possess expertise in identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
