An opportunity to join a dynamic accountancy and tax practice based in York, specialising in the Investment Property sector.
Reporting directly to one of the Directors of the firm, the role is suited to an experienced accounts administrative assistant, with experience of working in a small accountancy practice.
This flexible role is currently offered as 15 hours per week, over 3-5 days.
Location: Home based, but should ideally be within 30 min travel time of York. In the first two weeks of starting, you will be asked to attend training on-site for one or two days.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Responsible for the gathering of information from clients for accounts preparation
* Filing client information
* Uploading basic bookkeeping information into Xero
Qualifications and Skills
* High organisation skills required
* Basic bookkeeping skills
* Knowledge of Dropbox essential
* Proficient use of excel. Ability to organise, sort and filter data is a must.
* Experienced user of Xero accounting software
* Attention to detail
* Experience of working in a small accountancy firm is desirable
* Professional person with the ability to maintain and develop client and colleague relationships.
* Excellent communicator
* Proactive and ability to work using own initiative.
