We are currently recruiting for a Senior Night Carer at Oulton Abbey Care Home.
Job Type: Contracted Hours / Permanent / Full Time
· 36 hours per week
Nights 7:45 pm - 7:45 am (With 1 hour break)
· Rate of Pay: £13.90 per hour

What we are looking for –
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and professional Senior Carer to join our team. If you are dedicated to providing high-quality care and promoting the well-being and independence of residents, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting residents with their day-to-day personal care, washing, dressing, oral hygiene
* Supporting our resident's overall nutrition
* Supporting the Nurses and Home Managers with jobs as necessary
* Dealing with administration tasks
* Completing risk assessments
* Writing care plans
* Completing daily logs
* Liaising with external agencies such as GP's and social services
* Responsible for administering medication
* Assisting care assistants to complete daily tasks
* Supervision of care assistants
* Assisting with new admissions
* Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
* Reporting any safeguarding concerns
* Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life
* Respect residents dignity and respect
* Provide companionship
* Observe and record residents' physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to management
The successful candidate must have:
· A high level of IT skills
· Very strong administrative abilities
· Be an excellent communicator
· Have the ability to administer various medication
· Have basic nursing skills such as monitoring vital signs
An NVQ3 Senior Carer qualification would be an advantage as would previous experience of supervising care staff.
