The role of Assistant Restaurant Manager is to assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the restaurant operation and all of its services.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Restaurant Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the restaurant and all food service operations.
* Oversee Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner service to ensure service standards are consistently maintained.
* Deliver excellent customer service and handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
* Supervise, support, and train team members to ensure high performance, presentation, and punctuality standards.
* Manage staff rotas, staffing levels, and departmental costs in line with budgets.
* Control stock, ordering, storage, rotation, and waste to maintain cost efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Fire Safety, COSHH, and Licensing laws.
* Conduct team meetings, staff inductions, training plans, and performance reviews.
* Communicate effectively with other hotel departments and promote hotel services, events, and upselling.
* Assist with recruitment, staff development, operational meetings, and Duty Manager responsibilities when required.
