Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Heavy Engineering)
We are looking for a mechanical maintenance engineer to work in a true engineering environment, maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy workshop machinery.

Must Haves
* Strong mechanical maintenance background
* Experience in heavy engineering or workshop environments
* Confident fault finding on mechanical systems
* Experience with machinery such as lathes, presses, or milling machines
* Proactive, hands‑on approach
Hours
* Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
* Friday: 07:00 – 13:00
Opportunity
This isn’t your typical maintenance role. You will work in a workshop environment, keeping operations running with reactive breakdowns and planned maintenance.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Maintaining and repairing heavy mechanical equipment
* Working on machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and presses
* Fault finding on gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and drive systems
* Supporting hydraulics and pneumatic systems
* Carrying out PPMs and responding to breakdowns
* Completing basic electrical fault finding where required
* Supporting small improvement projects across the workshop
