The job itself
We are seeking a caring, adaptable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our specialist provision within a mainstream primary school. The role involves providing tailored support to children with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and thrive within our inclusive setting. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver planned learning activities, adjust tasks to meet individual needs, and offer emotional and social support to help create a positive and nurturing environment.
As part of the specialist provision team, you will build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, supporting their wellbeing, independence and engagement. The role also includes helping to prepare learning materials, contributing to behaviour support, and providing feedback on pupil progress. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys supporting children with diverse needs and is committed to making a real difference to their learning and development.
