About Vulcain Engineering
Vulcain Engineering is a global engineering consultancy, supporting some of the most technically complex and impactful projects across energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. We work in close partnership with our clients, embedding our people directly into project teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.
Our offshore wind capability continues to expand rapidly, and we are now supporting a major offshore wind development in the North Sea. As part of this growth, we are looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator to support onshore logistics and supply chain operations linked to turbine installation and project delivery.
The Position: Logistics Coordinator (Wind Energy)
Vulcain Engineering is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to support onshore logistics activities associated with large-scale offshore wind turbine installation and operations.
This role plays a key part in ensuring that materials, equipment, and documentation are correctly managed to support safe and efficient project delivery. You will coordinate logistics across multiple transport modes, manage shipping documentation, and act as a critical link between suppliers, warehouse operations, and project teams.
The position is ideally suited to individuals with experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain operations within engineering, construction, or industrial environments.
Responsibilities
Some of the main responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator will include:
* Coordinating end-to-end logistics activities
* Managing import and export processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and international shipping requirements
* Preparing shipping documentation including packing lists, commercial invoices, delivery notes, and export paperwork
* Organising shipments from suppliers to warehouses and project sites, ensuring delivery schedules are met
* Supporting warehouse operations, including stock allocation, inventory control, and materials tracking
* Monitoring and tracking shipments, ensuring timely delivery and proof of delivery where required
* Liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve logistics queries and issues
* Supporting project teams by aligning logistics activities with installation and delivery schedules
* Assisting with transport quotations, insurance arrangements, and supplier coordination
* Maintaining accurate records and updating internal tracking systems
* Ensuring all logistics activities are carried out in line with project and company compliance standards
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile offshore wind project while joining a global engineering consultancy at the forefront of the energy transition. You’ll gain exposure to complex supply chain and logistics operations within a major infrastructure project environment.
The role offers the chance to build a long-term career within the offshore wind and wider energy sector, all within a stable Monday–Friday onshore position.

* Experience coordinating transport across road, sea, or air freight (desirable)
* Familiarity with inventory control, materials tracking, or warehouse operations
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including suppliers and project teams
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confidence using IT systems (e.g. Excel, ERP systems such as SAP, or logistics tracking tools)
* Right to work in the United Kingdom
* Based locally to Hartlepool or willing to relocate, as this role does not include travel or accommodation support
What’s in it for you?
* Long-term opportunities within Vulcain’s energy and infrastructure portfolio
* Exposure to large-scale offshore wind developments
* Training and development support
* A supportive and inclusive working environment that values collaboration and professional growth
* Equal opportunities for all candidates, regardless of background
