Contract and Project Officer — Part-Time (18.5 Hours) Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday am – Permanent
Grade B2 and £31,537 - £33,699 per annum, pro rata
North Kesteven District Council is seeking a motivated individual to join the Housing Investment team. This post puts you at the heart of a team delivering Capital improvement works to social housing which is critical in the delivery of one of the Council’s core services.
Requirements
* HNC in an appropriate building discipline or equivalent experience
* Experience in the delivery and management of Construction related works, demonstrating effective planning and the ability to work to deadlines
* Ability to communicate clearly through multiple channels
* Understanding and application of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Responsibilities
* Preparation of plans, technical surveys, drawings and schedule of relevant works
* Building contract administration and supervision of Capital works, examples of works would be kitchens, bathrooms, heating, windows, doors, roofing, external works etc.
* Payment of contractors
* Ensuring works are carried out in line with Health and Safety requirements

* Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
* Competent across all aspects of Building Surveying
* Excellent customer care and communication to support tenants during and after works.
* Motivated to improve service delivery and tenant satisfaction
* A highly organised and conscientious person
You will be required to apply a high level of attention to detail when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of the Councils statutory duties at a technical level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working and visiting the district.
