Teaching Assistant – Specialist Setting

We2re looking for a compassionate and reliable teaching assistant to join a specialist setting in Sunderland that supports children with severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in SEND and is passionate about helping every child achieve their potential.
What you2ll be doing:
* Supporting pupils with complex learning needs, including autism and physical disabilities
* Providing 1:1 and small group support in both academic and life skills sessions
* Assisting with personal care where required and promoting independence
* Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored learning and support plans
* Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that helps pupils thrive
What we2re looking for:
* Experience working with SEND, ideally within a specialist setting
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Confidence in supporting pupils with additional needs, including behaviour and communication challenges
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Reliability, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting childrens development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
