We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Management Accountant
to take ownership of our finance function. This role is key to supporting growth, securing funding, and ensuring financial integrity as the company expands.
You will:
* Manage cash flow, produce financial reports, and handle complex invoicing and billing with local authorities, health commissioners, and third-party providers (e.g., Purple) using Sproc NHS invoicing systems
* Liaise with external accountants
* Provide financial insight to support strategic decisions
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
* Use Xero for day-to-day accounting operations
* Build and lead your own finance team as the company grows
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and financial models to support growth
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing with local authorities, health commissioners, and third-party providers using Sproc
* Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis)
* Support month-end and year-end processes, including ledger closure and audit preparation
* Assist with annual budgeting and financial reporting for directors and stakeholders
* Implement internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
* Ensure financial systems and processes are robust and efficient
* Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for new projects and cost-saving initiatives
Experience & Skills:
* Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience
* Experience in social care, healthcare, or service-based sectors preferred
