We have a fantastic opportunity for a SEND Passenger Assistant/Driver to join our healthcare transportation team based in Addlestone.

This role involves transporting children with Special Educational and Disability Needs (SEND) to and from healthcare or educational facilities. It's a rewarding yet challenging opportunity where you can quickly become a valuable member of our team.
The position entails working Monday to Friday during term time only. Shifts are typically from 06:00-09:00 and 15:00-18:00 (shift times are examples and may vary based on travel time), totaling 20-30 hours per week.
Full-time hours are available within the PTS team during the day.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist children with special educational needs during transport to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Drive carefully and considerately to transport children safely using our vehicles.
* Support children in boarding and alighting from the vehicle, providing physical assistance if necessary.
* Maintain a calm, positive environment during transport, addressing behavioral or emotional needs.
* Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and school staff about transportation arrangements.
* Follow all safety protocols, including seat belt use and proper seating.
* Be familiar with safeguarding policies.
* Report incidents or concerns promptly to your line or operations manager.
* Help maintain vehicle cleanliness.
What you need to succeed
* A full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points.
* Pass a DVLA D4 Medical.
* Obtain and hold a PHV Licence (assistance available).
* Deliver excellent customer service.
* Display calm, considerate, and careful driving behavior.
* Be an effective, confident communicator.
* Demonstrate team collaboration naturally.
* Pass a fully funded Enhanced DBS check.
