Position Summary
As a rapidly growing beauty company expanding internationally, we are looking for a dedicated individual who can effectively navigate the complexities of global logistics and transportation to ensure the efficient delivery and of our products to customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
·Develop and implement strategic transportation plans to minimize costs and reduce lead times while meeting customer demand. Analyze international markets to identify the best transportation alternatives and routes. Align changes with both existing and new customers.
·Build and analyze distribution cost, identifying reduction opportunities and leading projects or facilitating information to enhance service at a lower cost.
·Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting to monitor performance of transportation providers to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and continuous improvement in service quality.
·Collaborate closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to negotiate contracts, find alternative solutions for new routes to market, and ensure high-quality service delivery. Maintain strong relationships with 3PL partners to drive operational excellence.
·Identify potential risks and challenges in the supply chain related to transportation and logistics, and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Proactively address issues such as customs delays, port congestion, and geopolitical factors.
·Stay abreast of international trade regulations, customs requirements, and transportation laws to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Work closely with legal and regulatory teams to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
·Perform all related administrative tasks associated with transportation management, including but not limited to maintaining inbound schedule updates, coordinating with carriers and vendors, and ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
Requirements
·Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
·Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably in a multinational company.
·Deep understanding of international transportation modes, including ocean freight, air freight, and land transportation. Familiarity with Incoterms and customs clearance processes.
·Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing relationships with transportation providers and 3PL partners.
·Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
·Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
·Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools is preferred.
·Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the distribution space
