Consultant Forensic Pathologist
Location: NHS Lothian, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary / NINE Building, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Edinburgh BioQuarter.

Eligibility & Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration, license to practice, and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
* UK trained: evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry.
* Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.
* Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
* Hold FRCPath in Forensic Histopathology (or equivalent qualification) and be on the specialist register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT on interview day.
Application Details
Permanent full-time (40 hours per week) post based in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Two Consultant positions available from 1 August 2026 in NHS Lothian Forensic Pathology, at the NINE Building and Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at the Edinburgh BioQuarter.
