Offer description

We are looking for someone to join our friendly admin team here at Heald Green Health Centre.

The position will include a range of administrative duties to contribute to the smooth running of the practice and provide administrative support to the whole multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong IT skills, preferably with some experience of general practice, with a forward thinking attitude. Above all we are looking for someone who is flexible and will fit into out team of friendly staff.

Typical working hours would be around the practices core hours of 8am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday and we would look to arrange days and times with the successful candidate


Main duties of the job

Workflow of documentation in electronic format, paper format and email format. Filing of clinical correspondence into Docman and EMIS

Analysis and review of clinical documentation to accurately assign, and code relevant diagnoses, results, procedures and treatments, ensuring compliance with coding standard and guidelines. Liaising with appropriate staff to clarify and information/resolve any discrepancies.

Summarising of medical records

Administration and processing of other work such as insurance reports, GDPR requests

Possible secretarial work as required and processing of medications and prescription requests.

Recognise peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly.


Person Specification


Experience

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong IT and keyboard skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good time management and ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
* Reliable, flexible, and committed to providing high standards of patient care. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Desirable criteria Previous experience in a GP practice. Knowledge of practice systems including EMIS Web, Docman, Accurx, MS Office or similar systems. Familiarity with NHS procedures and patient confidentiality requirements.
