Welcome to FCMS!Post: Salaried GPPay: £49.18 - £55.78 per hour depending on experience**Golden hello £2500 offered paid in instalments over first 6mths pro rata**Hours: Negotiable - Full time is 37 hoursAccountable to: Associate Director of Clinical ServicesClinically Reports to: Head of Clinical WorkforceLocation: The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)Doncaster Royal InfirmaryArmthorpe RoadDN2 5LTCLOSING DATE: 14 TH JUNE 2026* Please note that our roles are not being considered for sponsorship at this time*We are looking for a highly skilled GP with experience in an urgent or Primary Care setting to work across our services in Doncaster. The successful candidate will work closely with the clinical manager to support with Clinical Governance, audits and development of our urgent and emergency services. Opportunities to assist with recruitment, training, supervision and professional development will be available.

We pride ourselves on an open and honest culture and show dedication towards peer support, maximizing individual strength and personality, valuing new ideas to help strengthen and celebrate what a great service we offer!Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of professional and administrative colleagues, working in a range of Planned and Urgent Care services within Doncaster, with the flexibility to be available across different sites, and providing remote support if the need arises. You will provide consultations and appropriate clinical management of patients attending with injury and illness to services, either face to face or virtually.

As well as broad clinical practice within supportive, dynamic teams, the post includes regular dedicated time for Continuing Professional Development and study leave. The post holder also has additional responsibilities:1. The role will provide additional mentorship and support to new and evolving roles in our clinical workforce and to clinical trainees of all professions.2.

The role will contribute to the Clinical Governance agenda within the specified location/Business Unit.3. The role will contribute to clinical innovation across the organisation, including development of the current UTC service at Doncaster, in line with the NHS long term plan and UTC model4. Eight days study leave per year will be provided, pro rata, for CPD following discussion with the Organisational Medical Director during the appraisal process. All study leave must be approved by the post holders line manager.Participate in Significant Event analysis and Patient Safety Incident Investigations (PSII).Support the Management team and Clinical Nurse Manager(s) to ensure all service KPIs/targets are met, and look for improvement over and above the set commissioned targetsMonitor and lead improvements to standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, and evidence-based practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and providing skilled professional leadershipContribute to the Clinical Governance agenda within the service by leading audit and research as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the area of expertiseClinical Governance duties including attending clinical governance meetings, managing incidents, complaints and audit.ProfessionalThe post holder will:Ensure full accreditation and requirements of practice to include full registration with GMC license to practice, membership of an appropriate defence body (if required) and delivery of annual evidence for appraisal or accreditation purposes in keeping with national requirementsDemonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and audit to ensure evidence based best practice.
