A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I’m a 22-year-old male who has learning disabilities and autism. I live in independent living in Pontypridd, although I have a close and supportive family network. I enjoy gaming and was actively participating in MMA fighting/ training until a few years ago. This is something I would like to explore again with the help of a PA. I also want to get back into the gym.
It will take me some time to build a good relationship so the applicant must be understanding of this.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To support me to develop independent living and social skills. To encourage me to access the community.
HOURS OF WORK
10 hours per week
Flexibility is essential - days and times to vary as/when needed
RATES OF PAY
£16.00 per hour
40p mileage when you use your car
TASKS WILL INCLUDE
1. Prompting me to maintain and manage my hygiene
2. General domestic assistance
3. Taking me to appointments and going shopping for weekly groceries
4. Supporting me to access activities of my choice within the community
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
5. Male due to the support required with personal care
6. Bubbly personality who can have banter
7. Ideally the same interests
8. Be able to give reassurance and guidance when needed
9. Proactive in situations and be able to problem solve on your own initiative
10. Patience whilst we develop a working and trusting relationship
11. You must be flexible, understanding that shifts, days and times may change with short notice
12. A car owner/driver who is willing to use car for work purposes/take me on outings
