About The Role
We're looking for a skilled Infrastructure Technician to help maintain and support the safe, reliable operation of the Nottingham network. This hands‑on role involves working across multiple sites to ensure our infrastructure meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Routine & reactive maintenance across infrastructure assets.
* Fault diagnosis and rectification to maintain network safety.
* Overhead line isolations and issuing permits for maintenance activities.
* Working with electrification & plant systems including isolators, distribution systems, generators, substations, and overhead lines.
* Planned maintenance delivery and prompt response to emergent work.
* Supervision and instruction of Assistant Technicians, Apprentices, and contractors.
* Coaching and mentoring junior team members.
* Project work and technical modifications to infrastructure assets.
* Tool and equipment upkeep to ensure safe operation.
* Collaboration with engineering teams for effective service delivery.
* Flexible travel across Nottingham sites.
Requirements
* Electrical background with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience with isolations, permits, and electrification & plant environments.
* Knowledge of distribution systems, generators, substations, and overhead lines.
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to supervise, instruct, and mentor junior staff and contractors.
* Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
* Flexibility to travel across the network.
