We are ISO 9001:2015 accredited and proud of our culture of quality, innovation and continuous improvement As part of our continued investment in operational excellence, we are introducing a best-in-class digital stock-management capability to underpin our manufacturing, engineering and supply-chain functions. This newly created role will play a pivotal part in building that capability. The Role This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thrives on accuracy, systems and continuous improvement. You will design, implement and own a highly reliable digital stock-keeping process fully integrated with our ERP system (Epicor). Initially, your focus will be on establishing a 100% accurate, auditable stock-management process, covering all internal stock movements throughout the project lifecycle. Every asset must be digitally registered, traceable, and physically stored in a clearly defined and controlled location. As these foundations mature, the role will evolve to support procurement and supply-chain optimisation — helping improve cost control, efficiency and delivery performance across the business. What You Will Be Doing Stock & Warehouse Process Integration Integrate and standardise all stock-handling processes across the business. Ensure accurate registration and categorisation of all incoming goods, including part codes, descriptions, supplier references and quantities. Carry out low-complexity stock quality checks where appropriate, escalating issues as required. Maintain clean, compliant and audit-ready stock rooms and storage areas. Digital Stock Management Ownership Lead the integration and ongoing ownership of digital stockkeeping within the ERP system. Create and maintain structured digital location data for stock, WIP and manufacturing process stages. Implement and manage barcode/QR-code labelling for stock items and storage locations. Ensure all stock movements are recorded in real time, delivering consistently reliable, audit-ready data for Operations, Projects and Finance. Warehouse Management Systems & Data Integrity Apply prior WMS or digital stock-management experience to build scalable, robust processes. Drive accurate cycle counts, reconciliations and root-cause analysis of discrepancies. Develop workflows, dashboards and reports that highlight shortages, bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities. Continuous Improvement & Collaboration Proactively identify and implement improvements to stock accuracy, flow and system configuration. Work closely with Procurement, Operations and Engineering to strengthen supply-chain resilience and reduce cost of goods. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop stock-related KPIs, documentation and controls. Champion high standards of data integrity and operational discipline across the business. About You You will be someone who enjoys ownership, systems and precision — and who is comfortable being hands-on in a technical manufacturing environment. You will bring: Proven experience in stock control, warehouse coordination or stores management within a manufacturing or engineering setting. Strong experience using a WMS or digital stock-management system integrated with an ERP or accounting platform. Excellent understanding of barcoding / QR processes and stock-location management. Confidence working with ERP systems (Epicor experience is an advantage, but not essential). High attention to detail, accountability and pride in data accuracy. The ability to analyse stock reports, resolve discrepancies and deliver dependable outcomes. Strong communication skills and the confidence to influence others to follow good practice. Desirable: Experience in electronics, RF systems, aerospace, defence or other regulated technical manufacturing environments. Experience supporting procurement or supply-chain teams with data analysis or supplier insight. Working Environment On-site role, Monday–Friday (due to the operational nature of the position). No line management responsibilities initially, with scope to grow as the business scales. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
