Benefits and Package for an Assistant Claims Handler: Salary: Competitive Hours: Full-time Contract type: Permanent Location: Remote (The offices are based in Bristol and Taunton) Once a quarter family day, this often takes place in their office Excellent progression opportunities Values that align to their employees Culture based on client service, professional excellence and DE&I Key Responsibilities for an Assistant Claims Handler: Assisting in the Claims Handling of professional and financial lines Managing a satisfactory workload of own files Preparing technical referrals, including coverage and reserving recommendations for review by Senior Staff Instructing and controlling external service suppliers, including external legal counsel. Panel firms and adjusters, and monitoring expenditure Ensuring full compliance with all procedures and policies, service standards Relationship building, developing the client's market recognitionand promoting the Claims Team Actively participating in and contributing to system and process improvement initiatives and innovations across the Claims operation as required Key Skills and Experience of an Assistant Claims Handler: Good customer service and experience liaising with clients are required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to solve problems and make decisions with limited direction You should be a self-starter who identifies and proposes solutions to problems You should have the ability to innovate and anticipate problems Having the ability to identify Claims issues requiring escalation at an early stage is advantageous The ability to develop excellent working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders Organisational and prioritising own workload.
