iO Associates are working with a leading organisation in the defence sector to recruit a Programme Quality Engineer. This role is a fantastic opportunity to support complex system development programmes, ensuring technical and process compliance from bid stage through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide assurance support across assigned bids and projects/programmes
* Monitor hardware and electrical development for compliance with technical requirements
* Conduct MA/QA activities during acquisition and programme execution
* Facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) and onsite inspections
* Manage the SCAR process for supplier NCRs
* Participate in bid and programme Gate Reviews
* Oversee supplier quality and corrective actions
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Quality assurance experience in a systems engineering environment
* Knowledge of UK MOD assurance requirements and practices
* Proven record in delivering against defined QA requirements
* Experience in quality improvement methods (Lessons Learnt, 8D, 5-Whys)
* Familiarity with risk identification and reporting
* British National (for security clearance purposes)
Desirable:
* IPC 610/620 certification for electrical inspection
* Experience monitoring supplier KPIs
