Senior Residential Support Worker at Compass – a role focused on creating positive relationships, supporting the personal development of children and ensuring their welfare while providing opportunities for career progression into management.
Requirements
* Age 22 or above (to meet Ofsted regulations)
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People Workforce
* At least 2 years of experience within residential childcare working alongside young people
* Valid manual driving licence
Responsibilities
* Teach children self‑esteem and help them accept themselves, supporting their journey to adulthood.
* Build positive relationships, meet their needs and safeguard them at all times.
* Engage with a variety of children, some requiring high levels of supervision.
* Supervise staff, lead shifts, manage policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas, ensure placement plans are followed and education is supported.
* Ensure welfare and care of each child and give guidance and support to all residential workers.
