Histopathology Quality Admin Assistant

Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, well‑organised individual to join our highly skilled Histopathology team. The post will be based in the Histopathology Department. The Pathology team at Harrogate is highly regarded, having an excellent reputation with service users. The team at Harrogate is small and friendly, requiring a high degree of teamwork and co‑operation. Candidates should be prepared to be part of a close‑knit environment fostered in the department.
Main Duties
* Perform departmental audits and raise non‑conformances via the QMS.
* Assist in the preparation of the quality report for the Quality and Governance meeting.
* Generate outstanding work lists and manage samples referred to external laboratories.
* Follow departmental policies to ensure maintenance of quality standards.
* Monitor the audit schedule and work with the Section Manager and Quality Lead to plan the schedule.
* Data entry for trend analysis; assist the Section Lead to identify trends.
* Data entry of EQA results and document any non‑conformances on the QMS.

Qualifications
Essential:
* A levels / NVQ3 in biology or equivalent experience
Desirable:
* IT qualification

* 1 year experience in NHS Histopathology Laboratory
* LIMS experience

* QMS experience
* Trend analysis experience
Knowledge
Essential:
* ISO 15189 knowledge
* Audit knowledge
Desirable:
* Knowledge of IT systems

* Collation of reports

* Previous audit experience / training
