SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) - Floating Role
Quinton, Birmingham
Monday 1st September 2025-Ongoing
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant junior school in Quinton, Birmingham. This is a floating TA position, offering support across the whole school on a 1:1 and small group intervention basis. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with a range of additional needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver focused 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEND.
* Provide flexible support across different classrooms and year groups as required.
* Assist with personal care needs in a sensitive and respectful manner.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to implement individualized learning plans.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular reviews and meetings.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil independence and confidence.
Who We Are Looking For
* A flexible and adaptable team player, willing to work across the whole school.
* Experience supporting children with a variety of additional needs.
* Confidence and sensitivity in assisting with personal care tasks.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* A proactive and patient approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
* Previous experience in a similar SEND TA or support role is desirable but not essential.
