Job Purpose
Carry out maintenance and repair of buildings and make good after heating system installations at clients' properties, conduct themselves professionally and responsibly on behalf of CCS Limited. All work is performed in line with codes of practice, company procedures and stipulations.
Duties
* Maintain job time frame and company standards by working efficiently and safely with a high quality finish.
* Deliver high quality service to the client and their customers, respecting all individuals and meeting challenges presented.
* Carry out all work strictly in line with company procedures and industry standards, including code of practice and best practice.
* Perform repairs and minor works as required after installations or remedial works.
* Assist installers with installations and making good.
* Carry out bathroom refurbishment including carpentry, tiling, painting and minor plumbing works.
* Order materials and manage own jobs to ensure fast resolution for clients.
* Clear each job from the hand‑held device and back‑office system as they are completed.
* Liaise with residents and CCS clients as required regarding the works being undertaken.
* Ensure all PPE is present and correct at all times.
* Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
* Keep all appointments and inform all CCS tenants/clients.
* Carry out duties as required by any senior manager or representative staff member.
* Stay up to date with all codes of practice relevant to your discipline.
* Report variations to any works and update the administration department of changes to site requirements.
* Engage in all staff briefings and company functions.
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Liaise with other engineers and staff to ensure targets are reached, organizing electrical and plumbing works on any given installation.
* Produce certificates or job sheets for all works, and other required reports or records.
* Submit valid and accurate time sheets, delivery notes, expenses and other documentation weekly.
Skills / Qualifications
* General competence in the given trade.
* NVQ 2 or equivalent.
* General experience in building maintenance, with a bias toward carpentry.
* Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility and working knowledge of a mobile PDA.
Experience Required
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
* Experience working within the social housing sector on installation projects and maintenance contracts.
* Experience working directly with residents and clients.
* A clean UK driving licence and a DBS check will be required.
