Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, is looking for an experienced Receptionist to join their team on a bank/occasional basis.

Working Hours: Various shifts available though Mon-Sat as follows: 7am-1pm / 1pm-9pm / 9am-5pm / 8am-4pm / 10am-6pm
Contract Type: Bank/Zero hours
As Receptionist, you will ensure an exemplary level of high customer service to all patients, consultants and hospital teams, that meets and strives to exceed all our customer’s expectations, presenting a high standard of personal appearance together with total confidentiality in every aspect of work at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
1. Providing an efficient administrative service within the hospital, operating within established policies and procedures
2. Welcoming, registering and directing patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, in a proactive, warm, professional and caring manner and in such a way as to provide confidence and exceed customers’ expectations
3. Admitting patients to their room in accordance with hospital procedures, providing information as appropriate
4. Processing in-patient/out-patient charges, including the accurate collection of credit card details both over the phone and face to face
5. Operate the hospital switchboard in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all calls or enquires are responded to in a timely manner
What do you need to have?
6. Whilst no formal qualifications are required you must be able to communicate with other members of staff and patients clearly and your personal appearance must be of a high standard, expected in a professional healthcare environment
7. Experience of working on a reception or in a similar customer facing environment
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
9. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally
10. Strong focus on delivering and exceeding customer expectations, with the ability to handle difficult situations
11. Confident telephone manner with the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers at all levels
12. The ability to work effectively as part of a team
13. IT literate and a competent user of the MS Office suite of products
