Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly and supportive school in Blackburn. The successful candidate will work across all year groups, providing high-quality classroom support, delivering interventions, and leading lessons in the teacher’s absence.

Responsibilities
* Work across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 to support teaching and learning.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons when required, covering classes in the absence of the teacher.
* Support individual and small groups of pupils to help them achieve learning goals.
* Lead targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
* Assist teachers in planning, assessing, and tracking pupil progress.
* Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and senior leaders to uphold school values and policies.
Qualifications
* Hold a Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent).
* Proven experience working across primary year groups.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to deliver lessons confidently and maintain high standards of learning.
* A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).
Additional Qualifications
* Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* First Aid training or other relevant professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
