Wood is recruiting validatation engineers for a permanent staff role to support the delivery of an EPC framework contract on a large pharmaceutical site. This is a site‑based position located at Ware, working at the client operating facility.

The Process & Energy team is part of the Operations group, offering a portfolio of onshore projects in diverse sectors such as green hydrogen, fuel switching, local energy transition, UK refineries, petrochemical facilities, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical plants. We also partner with clients on pilot plants to test new technologies and support them as they scale to commercial production.

Responsibilities
* Organise validation activities to provide an effective validation service.
* Work with the business to promote the value of validation activity at all project stages.
* Be accountable for validation and validation maintenance for facilities, equipment, CSV and IT.
* Plan validation activities to meet customer and business needs in alignment with overall project plans and objectives.
* Prepare and issue Validation Master Plans, Summary Reports and other required documentation.
* Review and approve documentation and reports supporting the validation exercise.
* Present and justify validation scope and documents.
* Ensure that the team and key customers are kept informed of changes to validation requirements.
* Promote effective working relationships.
Qualifications
* Graduate (or equivalent) qualification in a scientific / engineering discipline or relevant experience.
* Good knowledge of GMP within a pharmaceutical environment.
* Advanced knowledge of at least one of the following: Facility Validation, CSV / IT Validation, Equipment Validation, Cleaning Validation.
* Effective communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of management.
* Ability to build networks, secure buy‑in and support for plans and ideas.
