Account Executive - Public Sector
Job Role Responsibilities
* 70/30 split between new business development and existing account growth
* Achieve or exceed agreed sales targets set with your manager
* Proactively identify and develop sales opportunities while understanding customer requirements
* Win new business supported by an internal public sector bid team
* Grow and develop an existing account base
* Work closely with pre-sales specialists to present the company's technology solutions and messaging to customers
* Manage relationships across customers, vendors, and distribution partners (developing and maintaining your network)
* Maintain ownership and accountability for your sales pipeline
* Stay informed on the latest technology developments and discuss these with public sector clients
Job Requirements
* The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organised, and hard working, with strong attention to detail. A positive attitude, energy, and willingness to support colleagues are essential.
* Minimum of good GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, with A-Levels beneficial but not essential
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Ability to take direction while also demonstrating initiative
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-driven mindset
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel beneficial but not essential
* A collaborative team player with a "can-do" attitude
