About the Role We are preparing to open a new independent bistro just outside Fort William and are looking for a chef to join us as we build our kitchen from the ground up. Our aim is to create a relaxed and welcoming place for both locals and visitors to enjoy good, straightforward food made well. The bistro sits alongside our holiday apartments, which welcome guests to the Highlands throughout the year and bring a steady flow of visitors to the area. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team environment and takes pride in producing consistent, well-prepared food. As a new business, we welcome ideas and input from our team. We’re keen to work with people who enjoy contributing to menus, daily specials and ways to keep things fresh and interesting while maintaining a consistent, well-run kitchen. Responsibilities may include: Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard Helping develop and maintain a simple, quality menu Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organisation Following food safety and hygiene procedures Assisting with stock control and ordering Working as part of a small, supportive team
