Job Description:
To work directly with children and families in their own homes and communities, identifying appropriate interventions/tools to deliver positive outcomes. This includes working early mornings, evenings, and some weekends as needed.
Contribute to holistic assessments of needs and develop and implement plans for babies, children, young people, and families, based on a competency-based job profile.
Support families with complex needs such as drugs, alcohol, mental health, and domestic abuse, helping them make positive changes to improve outcomes for children and young people.
Regularly review support packages to track progress, working collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes.
Maintain accurate records using electronic systems compliant with GDPR regulations.
Write reports and attend meetings, reviews, and court proceedings as required, representing the department.
Assist in providing timely advice, screening, and referrals to ensure families receive appropriate support at the right time.
Ensure children and young people actively participate in their own plans.
Engage in professional supervision, appraisal, and team development, adhering to Bradford Behaviours.
Participate in ongoing personal and professional development through mandatory training and research projects.
Follow all policies, procedures, guidelines, and codes of practice as laid down by the Council and Children’s Services.
Support students, apprenticeships, trainees, and volunteers.
Manage access to petty cash and equipment, including procurement cards, in line with policies.
