Position: Admin Officer
AO Pay Rate: £12.97 per hour
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Hours of Work: 9 to 5 Monday to Friday (hybrid working arrangement possible after training)
Start Date: 4th August 2025

Job Duties:
The post holder will be required to work as part of a small team providing co-ordination and administration support along with PA duties to College of Agriculture Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) Senior Management (UG5, UG6 & UG7). The post holder must be able to cope with pressures faced in a very busy work environment requiring effective communication skills and being at ease working with senior staff
Main duties will include:
-Support CAFRE senior management with corporate and other departmental exercises including co-ordinating and collating input for CAFRE governance and reporting.
– Providing administrative support to the branch, ensuring records are maintained and accordingly good governance and control.
Scheduling and arranging divisional and branch meetings, ensuring IT arrangements are set up to facilitate digital presentations and remote attendance
-Keeping diaries up to date, arranging meetings, setting up Microsoft Teams online meetings and providing a friendly and efficient customer service.
-Receiving and making phone calls, filing, photocopying, scanning, processing mail and emails
– Assist with collating returns and monitoring various co-ordination emails from several coordination mailboxes
-Assist with co-ordinating the return of commissioned input to briefing requests, correspondence cases, FOI and Assembly Oral / Written Questions as required.
– Assist with co-ordinating and collating commissioned input to requests from Food Farming and Rural Affairs Group (FFRAG) and DAERA as required.
Essential Criteria:
– Must have 5 GCSEs including Maths & English (must be able to show certificates)
