Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Fitter at Neurocore LLC
Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter
Hours: Continental 12 hour shifts - 4 on 4 off (4 Days followed by 4 Nights)
Salary: £47,000 to £50,000 per annum - overtime paid at x1.5 & x2.0 + benefits
Location: Easily commutable from Bromsgrove, Worcester, Kidderminster, Halesowen, Bridgnorth, Ludlow, Redditch and surrounding areas
Company: A heavy plant manufacturing company. They offer challenging and rewarding careers for Mechanical Maintenance Engineers / Mechanical Fitters and are looking for a motivated individual to join an established and successful maintenance team. You must be willing to work in a heavy plant environment and develop your skills further. Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (via apprenticeship and/or college) with experience in some of the following is desirable: bearings, motors, pumps, gears, belts, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (MIG/Arc). Suitable candidates will ideally have maintenance, fitting or servicing experience in an industrial, production or manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.
* Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems; strong fault finding, diagnostics and repair skills required.
* Assisting with planned shutdowns and project work; refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.
* Work safely on large production machinery to check, repair or replace belts, bearings, motors, gears, pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
Skills & Experience
* Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications (NVQ or C&G) at Level 3 or higher.
* Experience with mechanical maintenance, fitting or servicing in industrial/production/manufacturing environments.
* Experience with belts, chains, bearings, fitting & aligning, pumps, seals, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics; MIG/Arc welding and fabrication desirable (training available).
* Good troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
* Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and/or drive chain fault finding; some Electrical control systems experience is beneficial.
* Ability to think creatively to solve mechanical challenges; teamwork and contribution to ongoing improvement of CMMS.
* Commitment to safety and strong experience of health and safety best practices.
