At Broadridge, we've built a culture where the highest goal is to empower others to accomplish more. If you’re passionate about developing your career, while helping others along the way, come join the Broadridge team.
Broadridge is Growing! We’re seeking an AWS Solutions Architect to design, document, and guide implementation of secure, scalable cloud solutions across a diverse technology landscape. This role partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to analyze current-state systems and data flows, define target-state architectures, and drive alignment through clear communication and practical solution designs. You will produce end-to-end solution flows (e.g., in Visio) and translate requirements into architectures that meet nonfunctional requirements—performance, reliability, cost optimization (FinOps), security, and compliance. This is a Senior-level Solutions Architect role supporting cross-team initiatives and influencing technical direction across multiple domains, with a strong emphasis on architecture documentation, stakeholder alignment, and cloud transformation on AWS.
1. Work Model Options: Hybrid / Onsite (based on team needs and candidate location)
2. Travel: Occasional travel (e.g., quarterly) for planning sessions, workshops, or key stakeholder meetings
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Architecture & Solution Design
3. Design end-to-end AWS architectures aligned to business goals and technical constraints, including:Landing zones (multi-account strategy, AWS Organizations, SCPs, guardrails)Microservices and domain-aligned architecturesServerless solutions (event-driven patterns)Containers (ECS/EKS) and service-to-service connectivityRDS (Postgresql), Dynamo etc.Hybrid connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect, identity integration)DR/BCP (multi-AZ, multi-region patterns, RTO/RPO design, resilience testing)
4. Own architecture decisions considering nonfunctional requirements:Performance & scalability (capacity planning, latency considerations)Reliability & resiliency (HA patterns, fault isolation, disaster recovery)Security & compliance (least privilege, encryption, auditability)Cost optimization / FinOps (right-sizing, savings plans, cost allocation, unit economics)
5. Produce architecture artifacts (high-quality, version-controlled documentation), including:Solution flows using Visio (context, sequence, integration, and data flows)Current-state and target-state architecture diagramsLogical and physical architecture viewsIntegration patterns and API/event contracts (where applicable)
Current-State Analysis & Target-State Transformation
6. Analyze existing solutions and data across a diverse set of technologies (cloud/on-prem/SaaS) to:Document current-state architecture, dependencies, and constraintsIdentify gaps, risks, and technical debtPropose a target-state with clear migration/transition steps
7. Define pragmatic roadmaps and phased delivery plans (e.g., strangler patterns, incremental modernization)
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
8. Communicate clearly and proactively with business and technology teams to share information, drive clarity, and gain alignment on solutions
9. Facilitate architecture workshops, discovery sessions, and design reviews with:Product and engineering teamsSecurity, risk, and compliance partnersInfrastructure/operations/SRE teamsData/analytics teamsExecutive stakeholders and, when needed, customers or external partners
10. Translate complex technical tradeoffs into business-relevant outcomes (time-to-market, risk, cost, customer impact)
Governance, Standards, and Quality
11. Establish and improve architecture standards and reusable patterns (reference architectures, templates, design checklists)
12. Guide delivery teams through implementation, ensuring architectures are buildable and operable
13. Contribute to technical decision-making forums (e.g., Architecture Review Board) and ensure solutions meet agreed guardrails
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
14. Identify opportunities to modernize platforms and accelerate delivery via automation, managed services, and repeatable patterns
15. Promote innovation responsibly—balancing experimentation with security, reliability, and cost constraints
16. Stay current on AWS capabilities, best practices, and emerging patterns; recommend adoption when it creates measurable value
Required Qualifications
17. 5+ years in solutions architecture, cloud architecture, or similar technical leadership role
18. Strong AWS architecture experience delivering production systems (design + guiding implementation)
19. Demonstrated ability to create clear solution flows and architecture diagrams (e.g., Visio)
20. Proven experience analyzing complex, heterogeneous environments and producing current-state and target-state architectures
21. Strong communication skills—able to align business and technical stakeholders and document decisions clearly
22. Solid understanding of nonfunctional requirements: availability, performance, security, compliance, and cost
23. Experience partnering with engineering teams using Agile delivery methods
Preferred Qualifications
24. AWS certification(s): AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional (Professional preferred)
25. Experience designing multi-account landing zones and governance at scale
