Independent Health Group (IHG) has an opportunity for an experienced Health Care Assistant to join our friendly surgical team in Swindon.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, based at Guildford Avenue in Swindon. There may also be some time spent with our team in Chippenham, based at Hathaway Medical Centre.
In addition to a competitive salary, IHG offers a generous pension contribution of 6% of your earnings. We offer 25 days of annual leave, a day off for your birthday (if it falls on a working day), bank holidays, and the option to buy up to 2 additional weeks of annual leave.

Main duties of the job
The Health Care Assistant (HCA) supports the Theatre Team by undertaking circulating duties in the operating theatre and supporting patients during the perioperative phase, delivering high standards of individualised patient care under supervision. Effective, empathic communication with patients and relatives is essential. The HCA also assists in outpatient clinics.

Job responsibilities

* Preparing sterile equipment and ensuring sterility confirmation.

* Participating in induction and ongoing training of staff.

Salary: £23,979.90 per year plus a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
