(SO806) Live in Nanny - Junior role Location: Kingston upon Thames Type: Permanent Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 Per Annum (Dependent on experience and qualifications ) Live-In Nanny | Kingston | Perfect First/Second Nanny Role £25,000 Gross p.a. | Starts April 2026 | Long-Term Commitment The Opportunity Are you a Nursery Practitioner, Teaching Assistant, or professional childcare provider looking to move into your first (or second) Nanny role? We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, and fun-loving individual to join a professional single mum and her two children (Boy 8, Girl 3) in Kingston. Mum works hard and needs a Nanny she can truly rely on so she can go to work with total peace of mind. In return, you’ll join a family that values open communication and a "give and take" balance. The Role & Your Day This is a live-in position with a great split-shift routine, giving you plenty of "me-time" during the day: Morning (07:30 – 08:30): Getting the kids ready and handled for the school/nursery run. School Hours: Once your chores are done, you are free to enjoy the gym, meet friends, or relax —as long as you stay local in case the school calls. Support (approx. 2-3 hours daily): Using your initiative to keep the home ticking over—Weekly food shop, family laundry, weekly bedding change, errands, kitchen turnaround, simple healthy meal prep, and keeping key areas tidy. If the bin is full, you empty it; if the milk is out, you grab some! (A cleaner is employed) Afternoon (15:15 – 19.00/19:30): School/Nursery collection, after-school activities, playdates and helping with homework and reading, followed by bedtime routine. Babysitting, 2 nights per week included in your contract, but in reality it will be around 3 evenings per week, working Mon to Thurs mainly, with an occasional weekend night by arrangement. The Ideal Person Work Ethic: You take your job seriously. You understand that Mum relies on you to do her job, so being punctual and committed is essential. Initiative: You don’t need a "to-do" list for every little thing. You’re happy to "muck in" and help a busy household run smoothly. Personality: Easy-going, fun, warm, tons of initiative and common sense and organised. You’ll be a kind and fun presence in the children’s lives, making learning and reading part of the fun. Logistics: A driver is great (10 mins to school), but the 65 bus is a simple 25-minute journey. What’s Included? Your Own Space: A lovely double bedroom with your own en-suite bathroom.
