Imaging IT Administrator

Job overview
Imaging IT Administrators are integral members of a team that supports the Radiology Information System (CRIS) and the PACS (Picture Archiving Communications System) in the clinical environment, ensuring continuity of patient care at all times. The PACS System Support will act as first line of support to CRIS and PACS users across Plymouth Health Community.
They will manage support processes for CRIS, PACS and associated systems regarding the exchange of clinical data between Trusts, Healthcare providers, clinicians, and computerised systems.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘ Priority ’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job
To keep accurate change management and update fault and downtime records as required by the Imaging IT Operational Team Lead.
Importing images from a variety of sources in a quick and timely manner in order to be viewed by Doctors and other healthcare professionals at clinics, theatres or discussed at MDT meetings.
Selecting the appropriate images from the PACS, exporting selected images to other hospitals by electronic links. Where electronic links are not available the appropriate images are burnt onto encrypted memory stick, keeping an accurate record of where each image request has gone, in accordance with Trust guidance and legal requirements.
Correcting studies: when images are in the wrong study or patient. Patient merges, study re-allocation, or image re-allocated required.
Helping end users with Imaging hardware and Imaging software issues.

Qualifications
 * Basic knowledge of windows 10 and 11
Knowledge and Experience
 * A good understanding of Clinical System Software
 * Strong trouble shooting skills including ability to gather information and investigate
 * Ability to prioritize workload to align with trust values of putting patient first
 * Ability to take responsibility for your own workload, and ensure its completely accurately and professionally
 * Proven knowledge of working with a clinical system, with understanding or patient confidentiality and how to maintain it
 * Familiarity with the production of documentation to support team members and create a strong foundation for future team members
 * Ability to provide basic training to individuals or small groups
 * Ability to learn new systems and adapt to changes in process
