The Opportunity: Apprentice Kitchen Sales Designer. As an integral part of our workforce, we are seeking talented individuals to join our award-winning apprenticeship scheme and help drive our business forward. The Apprentice Kitchen Sales Designer role offers a unique opportunity to receive comprehensive on-the-job training and expert support from a leading training provider while pursuing a Level 3 Customer Service Apprenticeship. The program typically spans 12 to 15 months. Responsibilities: As an Apprentice Kitchen Sales Designer you will learn to turn our builders and their clients dream kitchens into a reality. By visiting their home you will listen to their ideas, evaluate their needs and offer your expert advice, then plan, design and sell inspirational kitchens that matches their requirements and exceeds expectations. Your key responsibilities will include: Planning, designing and selling inspirational kitchens using the Company’s range of products with the highest level of customer service. Developing long term collaborative business relationships with customers from the building trade and their clients. Visit sites including people’s homes to measure and evaluate the customer’s needs. Utilising Howdens unique ‘My Kitchen’ service which offers the ability to create and view high quality images. Correctly processing estimates, pricing, delivery dates and stock requirements for your customer. You will be required to use your own vehicle during business hours, and travel expenses will be reimbursed accordingly. Requirements: Our Kitchen Sales Designers come from a variety of backgrounds; however they all share a passion for sales and providing great customer service. Using your natural sales skills and creative flair, you will learn to achieve and exceed your sales targets every month. We are looking for people with the following qualities who want to learn new skills in a sales environment. The right to work in the UK and related evidence. You must hold a valid driving licence. If you are currently learning to drive you may be considered. Please note – if you have considerable experience in a similar role, you may not be suitable for an apprenticeship. Responsibilities
* As an Apprentice Kitchen Sales Designer you will learn to undertake all tasks and responsibilities of a Kitchen Sales Designer
* Learn to plan and design inspirational kitchens using the Company’s range of products.
* Learn to visit sites to measure and evaluate the customer’s needs.
* Learn to effectively communicate with builders and the end user, amending plans as required.
* Learn to use your product knowledge confidently, to ensure that you deal with customer enquiries before, during and after-sales.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations whilst in the depot and while on site visits.
* Learn to provide the customer with enough choice, advice and aftersales to leave a lasting impression of the Depot.
* Achieve and exceed individual and Depot targets
* Learn to negotiate prices ensuring you are maintaining growth on your margin.
* Learn to manage and maintain your own lead bank, keeping it updated and staying in contact with the customer.
* Provide potential and existing customers with the highest level of service.
* Participate as an effective and willing team member to achieve individual and team goals.

Desirable Skills
* English and maths GCSE or equivalent is desirable; if evidence of this is not provided at the outset English and Maths functional skills Level 1 & 2 will need to be achieved prior to completion of the apprenticeship.
* You must hold a full valid UK driving licence, or currently be learning to drive, and have access to your own vehicle.
