Shift: 4 on 4 off 12‑hour shifts, Dayshift (6am – 6pm)

Hourly rate: Competitive

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as ‘Line Leader’ at our Nicholas & Harris site as part of ‘Finsbury Food Group’. Nicholas & Harris has over 180 years of heritage in craft baking methods. If you like artisanal, organic and speciality breads, or have special dietary or nutritional preferences, our Salisbury bakery has you covered.

Finsbury Food Group is a leading speciality bakery manufacturer. We constantly raise quality and efficiency standards and build long‑term relationships within the foodservice channel. Finsbury offers a wide range of bakery products and is a leading frozen supplier into the Foodservice sector.

The Line Leader plays a key role within our Production Team, coordinating and overseeing all activities in your designated area. Your focus will be on ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with your colleagues to achieve daily production targets and continuous improvement goals, while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety, product quality, and operational excellence.


This is what you’ll actually do!

* Provide support and guide your team to ensure the efficient and effective running of the line.
* Monitor product quality at each key stage and make necessary adjustments to achieve zero customer complaints and meet continuous improvement and waste‑reduction targets.
* Maintain product quality through correct plant setup, adherence to technical specifications, and quality assurance processes while capturing accurate performance data.
* Lead the efficient setup of equipment at the start of production and during changeovers to improve efficiency and ensure products meet specification.
* Uphold consistent hygiene and housekeeping standards to maintain a safe, clean environment.
* Ensure that good Health & Safety practices and behaviours are followed at all times to create a safe working environment with zero accidents.
* Actively participate in training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
* Undertake any additional duties as required to support production needs and contribute to the overall success of the team.


Ideally this is you!

* Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or production environment.
* Previous experience in a supervisory or line management role, with the ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team effectively.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
* Confident communicator at all levels.
* Solid understanding of SQSCP and the company values.
* Proactive, results‑driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
* Basic reading, writing, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
