An engineering and manufacturing company specializing in advanced security detection and inspection equipment are looking for a Buyer to join them on a 12-month contract in Redhill.
Managing and liaising with current suppliers, being responsible for placing orders and managing processes. Supporting the operational supply chain using an MRP system.
Responsibilities:
* Purchasing of materials
* Preparation of supply chain documentation & quotations
* Supporting the Senior Buyer in selecting suppliers
* Daily review of MRP systems
* Develop and manage vendor relationships to improve Quality, Cost & Delivery performance
* Raise Purchase Orders in line with production requirements
Professional Skills/Abilities:
* Strong communication skills at all levels
* Computer literacy – Excel & Word essential, Access preferable
* Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for BOM, scheduling, forecast analysis, and capacity planning
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel
* Microsoft Dynamics D365 Experience
