Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Giver to join our team in Wigan, United Kingdom. As a Care Giver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personalised care and support in their homes.
Shift Patterns will consist of Mornings, 7am-14.15pm and Late shifts 16:00pm-22:00pm with a requirement of at least 1 late shifts per week.
1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
2. Prepare nutritious meals and help with feeding when necessary
3. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
4. Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities
5. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions
6. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients
7. Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
8. Keep accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions
9. Engage clients in stimulating activities and conversations to promote mental well-being
10. Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations
11. Alternative weekend work required.
Qualifications
12. Genuine passion for caring for others and making a positive impact on their lives
13. Excellent reliability and professionalism
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
15. Empathetic and patient nature, with the ability to build trusting relationships
16. Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and daily tasks
17. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
18. Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
19. Basic first aid knowledge (preferred but not required, as training will be provided)
20. Previous experience in caregiving or related field is beneficial but not essential
21. Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
22. Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity at all times
23. Willingness to learn and adapt to clients' individual needs and preferences
