The Role
An established and growing Building Services and M&E contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their Southwest team. Operating across commercial, educational, industrial, and public-sector environments, the business delivers high-quality heating, mechanical, and electrical services throughout Bristol, the Southwest, and Wales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems across a variety of commercial sites including offices, retail units, industrial facilities, schools, and public buildings.
This role would suit a skilled engineer who takes pride in delivering high standards of workmanship, can work independently, and always provides excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances and heating systems
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
* Complete commercial gas installations and system upgrades
* Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safety regulations and industry standards
* Accurately complete job reports, certification, and service documentation
* Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and site personnel
* Maintain high standards of health & safety on all projects
* Deliver reactive and planned maintenance works across commercial environments
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
* Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
* Good understanding of commercial heating systems and plant
* Full UK Driving Licence
Qualifications
* Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications including CODNCO1 / COCN1 or equivalent
* Gas Safe Registered
* Additional HVAC or mechanical qualifications beneficial
* Health & Safety certifications advantageous
