Job Summary
We are seeking a committed and proactive Attendance Officer to join our dedicated Pastoral Team at Lift Sir Herbert Leon. This key role ensures every student can thrive through excellent attendance and punctuality.
Location & Salary
Lift Sir Herbert Leon, Fern Grove, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK2 3HQ, United Kingdom.
Salary: Scale 7 SCP 23–29 £34,434.00 - £39,862.00. Actual Salary: £29,485.80 - £34,133.79 + well‑being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits.
Working Hours & Contract
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time + Inset days.
Contract: Fixed term until July 2026.
Start date: As soon as possible.
Responsibilities
* Promote and maintain high expectations of attendance and punctuality across the school.
* Accurately track and analyse attendance data to identify trends and inform interventions.
* Work proactively with students and families to overcome barriers to attendance.
* Build strong, professional relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.
* Communicate clearly and sensitively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
* Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times.
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or equivalent).
* Experience working with children or young people.
* Strong administrative and data‑handling skills with high accuracy.
* The ability to analyse information and use this to inform decision‑making.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A resilient, solution‑focused approach with a genuine passion for education.
