Part-Time Year 6 Teacher - Hall Green, Birmingham Start Date: ASAP Working Days: Thursday and Friday Contract: Until July 2025 Monarch Education is currently working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Hall Green, Birmingham, who are looking to appoint a Part-Time Year 6 Teacher to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who is looking for a part-time role within a collaborative school environment. About the Role: You'll be teaching a Year 6 class made up of mixed-ability pupils. Planning will be shared with the parallel class teacher, and you'll be given PPA time as part of your weekly schedule. The focus will be on delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that support pupils as they prepare for SATs and make the transition to secondary school. What You'll Be Doing: Delivering lessons across the Year 6 curriculum in a way that supports and challenges pupils of all abilities Working closely with another Year 6 teacher to share and adapt planning Preparing pupils for end-of-year SATs Tracking and assessing pupil progress Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment Building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents Who We're Looking For: To be successful in this role, you'll need to have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Recent experience in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6 A good understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs preparation Confidence in managing behaviour and supporting a range of learning needs Please only apply to this role if you have Qualified Teacher Status - if you are unsure if you have QTS, please visit Qualified teacher status (QTS): qualify to teach in England - GOV.UK.
