An established distribution company based in Stevenage is looking for a Goods In/Out Material Controller to join the team. The role offers a salary of GBP 28,000 per annum, along with benefits including access to an onsite gym, a virtual GP service, a pension scheme, and 22 days holiday plus Christmas shutdown.
This position is based in a clean and bright warehouse environment, working within a close-knit team. Racking experience is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Following SOPs for all material processes.
* Ensuring safe working practices for oneself and others.
* Reporting any problems related to systems, procedures, or practical issues to team leaders.
* Inspecting products according to training, raising concerns or questions as necessary.
Candidate Profile
* Previous warehouse experience.
* Attention to detail with an understanding of the bigger picture implications.
* Commercial awareness.
* Customer service experience.
* Organizational and prioritization skills to handle a varied workload.
* Good knowledge of IT packages, especially Outlook, with the ability to learn other applications.
* Experience with general office administration tasks.
* Strong interpersonal and team-working skills, with effective communication.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
