We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy technician to join our inclusive and dedicated team.
The Pharmacy Technician team at UHS is a growing, dynamic and skilled workforce. The successful candidate will join a unified team of 150+ Pharmacy Technicians and Assistant Technical Officers across multiple sites.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing and developing medicines management services.
* Checking patients’ own medicines, taking drug histories, initiating further supplies, counselling patients on their medicines and coordinating discharge.
* Working in busy dispensaries using our automated supply system (pharmacy robot) – labeling, dispensing, and checking prescriptions for in‑patients, TTOs and out‑patients.
* Participating in a three‑month rotation across Acute and General Medicine, Care of the Elderly, Trauma surgery, ENT surgery, Digestive Diseases, Vascular, Stroke, Respiratory, Women’s and Children’s health.
Candidates must:
* Be a qualified Band 5 Pharmacy Technician or show potential to progress from Band 4 to Band 5 with training.
* Demonstrate required competencies and, for pre‑registration Pharmacy Technicians, be able to qualify and register in 2025.
* Have a strong commitment to learning and development; support will be provided to progress to ACPT accreditation.
