We are an award-winning hybrid NHS & private healthcare provider seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinic General Manager to lead the re-launch and operational management of a best-in-class outpatient, minor operations and diagnostic centre in Nottinghamshire. This rare opportunity allows you to shape services from the ground up and embed our ethos of patient-centred care.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants MUST HAVE previous experience of private healthcare management to be considered for this position.
Role Purpose
As Clinic General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering clinical and operational excellence, driving performance, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You will provide strategic leadership while ensuring the clinic's safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
* Lead the re-launch, development, and operational management of the centre.
* Oversee all clinical, operational, and financial aspects, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care.
* Manage estates and facilities to create and maintain a world-class environment.
* Drive service performance across all lines, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance.
* Work closely with the clinic director to build and lead a high-performing team, fostering accountability and engagement.
* Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance with governance and legal requirements.
* Collaborate with consultants, clinical teams, and NHS/private partners to grow services.
* Lead on business development, consultant engagement, and new service opportunities.
* Use data and KPIs to inform strategy and deliver measurable improvements.
* Champion innovation and transformation to remain agile and market-responsive
Experience
Essential:
- Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Significant management experience in private sector and NHS outpatient, day surgical and/or diagnostic healthcare.
- Proven leadership in service transformation, financial performance, and team development.
- Strong understanding of private healthcare operations and regulatory frameworks (e.g. CQC, IR(ME)R).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Commercially astute with experience in business planning and growth strategy.
Desirable:
- Master's in Healthcare Management or MBA.
- Clinical background or registration.

The successful candidate will have the following

* Have excellent IT skills.
* Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be confident in speaking with a wide range of different people with a variety of needs
* Be a real team player and be able to work collaboratively with our various stakeholders in providing services for our local population.
* Demonstrated ability in supervising teams and managing staff effectively.
* A good working knowledge of SystmOne is desired and will be an advantage but is not essential.
