Job Opportunity: Principal Accountant
Are you looking to advance your Finance career while making a real difference? We are seeking a self-motivated Principal Accountant to join our supportive and fast-paced Children and Young People's Finance Team. The successful candidate will support the Finance Business Partner and Finance Manager in ensuring the provision of sound financial services and systems, along with high-quality financial information for budget managers. This role supports essential Children's Services and Schools across St Helens. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining Capital and Revenue budgets, supporting the production of the annual statement of accounts, and providing effective financial management services.
Candidate Requirements
* Excellent numerical, written, and verbal communication skills
* Effective decision-making abilities
* Ability to work to deadlines and respond to ad-hoc service needs
* Strong analytical skills for financial data interpretation and advice
